You wouldn't believe the dust that gathers when one isn't looking. The dust monsters and plot bunnies. euw! Among the sleeping bags left by the Ewoks (poor little guys thought they were going to get a better offer from Lucas. ::snort:: they'll be back!) and a few flag poles I found some Highlander Collectible Card Game cards. Remember those? Made by Thunder Castle Games? I'm not sure how many of these there are. Somewhere between 50 and 100. They are not sorted and have been stored in a ziplock bag and in some of the starter deck boxes. I don't have a clue as to specific cards included. I'm offering them free to a good home, for the cost of postage ($4.00 priority mail). Just email me OFFLIST! with your request and mailing address. If anyone is really interested, I still have a sheet of uncut gold cards. Will take best available offer on those. virginia vfoster_042@bellsouth.net --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost; From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadow shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jun 2005 15:36:11 -0400 From: Virginia Foster <vfoster_042@bellsouth.net> Subject: Re: Free to a good home, Highlander CCG Cards wow, talk about trigger happy fingers. I used to have a small collection of those a few years ago. Problem was, I couldn't find anyone else who was interested in playing. It's not a bad CCG, but if you're actually going to play it (rather than just collect the cards), you really need to obtain a starter pack of the Movie set. The Series set were released first, but the rules included therein were so sketchy and obtuse that it was impossible to play. And you *can* mix the two sets together, so you can have Duncan MacLeod vs. The Kurgan. I was at GenCon in Milwaukee five years ago, and one of the events was a build-a-giant-card-house with extra CCG cards and glue. Besides the number of common Magic cards, there were an inordinate amount of Highlander CCG cards used for this event. The room used for the event was a good-sized conference room, and about 75% of the floor space was filled with multi-tiered "card-houses" (or card-condos, if you will). (As a side note, a friend of mine managed to finance his entire Con trip by selling two boxes of rare Magic cards to a dealer there, and had a fair bit of money left over at the end). ....Greg.... gmate@rogers.com "Data - n. - the accumulation of straws on the backs of theories." - slashdot.org ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jun 2005 22:35:02 +0100 From: Jette Goldie <jette@blueyonder.co.uk> Subject: Re: Useful Highlander words for Scrabble players... > I thought of a List Denizen the other day - Jette, are you out there?
