      Egad!

I had (mercifully) forgotten how bad "Endgame" was. Whoa! I happened to tune in as Connor was breaking free to try and save his mother. The gushing blood and severed limbs was more "Monty Python" than anything else. And Kell had that wonderfully stiff style so reminiscent of zombies in old horror films. Kate/Faith....those inflated lips... that scrawny neck..that total absence of screen presence!

The more times I see it, the less I understand how Kell was suppose to be the ultimate bad guy with a kill record second to none (assuming no one was counting what Methos was up to for *5000* years). He was such a loser. Boo Hoo ... you killed my father and so I must hunt you forever. Never mind that my father just killed your mother. Blah, blah blah. Why did all those other Immortals follow him as a leader? We never saw anything about him that would inspire such loyalty (or even that much fear).

And Duncan was still an idiot to buy into Connor's idea that stabbing his bride on her wedding night was a good idea. The sex may have been good, but not so good that she would forgive him for that.

Still and all. there were moments to savour. The end was very nice. No..no..not the last scene.. I mean that actual *end* when the film stopped.

Time heals all wounds, they say. Then, cable TV rips off the scabs & runs
some HL films. Remember how high our hopes were in the months (years,
really) leading up to Endgame's release. How assuring it was to read that
AP had script approval. How nice to hear that Methos & Joe would be in it.
How thrilled to read DPP promise this film was the franchise's gift to the
fans. And then it sucked, on so many levels (& in all its versions).
Endgame actually gets less rating stars in the cable listings than HL3; oh,
the shame--guess even the well-courted WWF bunch hated Endgame.

She looked like a stereotyped cheap slut, in past & present.

Well, at least he could act. Well--no, he couldn't. No explanation for the
      character or the actor.

      Dream on.

Nina (still wondering how DM could go to an isolated cemetery w/ the stated
intention of digging up Connor's 2-part corpse yet take no shovel; also, WHY
was Connor handily loitering around there, since he was never buried
there...; not that these were the only or even particularly notable among
      the film's myriad problems........)
