Eurominutes - Return of Amanda
1) The dojo, two figures in full fencing gear
American version: Taller figure is facing camera (looking toward elevator). Shorter one is facing the doors to the dojo. They are fencing. Taller one speeds up his attack and we hear Duncan say;
D: Faster!
Euro: Two figures in full fencing gear. Taller figure strikes shorter figure in the chest. They stop. Shorter figure removes mask and we find Richie. Other figure removes mask to reveal Duncan. He is smiling.
D: Your stamina's improving.
R: Yeah. I lasted a few whole seconds longer that time.
D: Don't worry. It'll come. <He puts his mask back on>
They prepare to start again. Duncan with his back to the doors, Richie facing the doors.
R: I hate these outfits.
D: Part of the discipline. Come on…let's do it again. <He slashes the air with his sword. Richie puts his mask back on>
R: You're mine now!
D <chuckles>
They begin to fence... speeding up as the go on.
D: Faster!
Continue with American version.
2) Amanda and Duncan go back to her hotel after she unsuccessfully tries to move in with Duncan. We see mystery men go into Amanda's room. They open and close the interior doors searching for something/someone.
American version: Cut to Amanda and Duncan in the hallway. Duncan is leaning against the wall. Amanda is up close with her hands on his chest.
A: I really do like you, Duncan. Let's play house for 70-80 years.
Euro: Cut to Amanda and Duncan walking down the hallway together.
A: I really thought we had something, MacLeod.
<Duncan walks on. Amanda stops, arms crossed over her chest. looking hurt. Duncan looks back in exasperation. He crosses his arms too.
D: Oh spare me, Amanda! You don't do the "hurt woman" very well.
A: <She stops pouting and smiles> Well it was worth a shot.
<She walks to Duncan and puts her hands on his chest)
A: I really do like you, Duncan …
Continue as in American.
3) After they escape from the roof of the hotel
American: Amanda and Duncan on a path near a lake.
A: Why don't you believe me? I've never seen those guys before in my life.
Euro: Ducks swimming on a lake. Duncan and Amanda looking at the ducks.
A: Sometimes I wish I could be more like them, No worries, No fears.
D: No one chasing after you.
<They walk to the path>
A: Why don't you believe me? I've never seen those guys before in my life.
Continue as in American
4) Flashback to Germany, Duncan and the Professor at the airport.
American: Duncan and the Professor cross the airport toward their plane.
D: Don't worry. Just another ten minutes and we'll all be safe.
Euro: American: Duncan and the Professor cross the airport toward their plane. They stop and look at the plane.
P: I don't know. How do you know that will fly all the way to England?
D: Because I've done it before, Professor. Look at it as a kind of physics- the old fashioned kind <Duncan takes the Professor's arm and leads him toward plane> Come on
P: But it doesn't look safe!
D: Safer than staying here. . <They walk to plane> Don't worry. Just another 10 minutes and we'll all be safe.

5) Duncan and Richie in the elevator going up to loft.
American:
D: And here I thought she wanted me for my mind. <Cut to Amanda entering the engraver's store>
Euro:
D: And here I thought she wanted me for my mind. <Cut to Amanda walking along tree lined street. She crosses the road. Cut to the inside of the store. Then cut to Amanda entering. >

Another second season stinker. The only good part was the brief moment at the beginning when I thought Charlie was dead. (It did nicely foreshadow his eventual death by stabbing)

1) Leong dismisses his two henchmen with orders to get Jimmy at the park where he is doing a demonstration for the kids.
American: <Cut to Charlie and Jimmy walking in the park>
J: Listen…this morning….I didn't mean….
C: Forget it, all right?
Euro: <Cut to Charlie and Jimmy walking in the park. They are much further away.
J: Do you believe in fate, Charlie?
C: Sometimes.
J: I do. You know, ever since I was a kid, I knew I was going to grow up to be somebody.
C: And making this movie makes you a somebody?
J: I'm a star, Charlie! First time out. Do you know what that means?
C: Yeah. It means you got real lucky.
J: No! Luck had nothing to do with it. I've got the talent. I've got the drive. Nobody is going to stop me. You never thought I could make this happen.
C: Well, you've come a long way, Jimmy.
J: I'm not that skinny kid you used to know.

L: I just might do that.
American: Cut to Duncan standing just inside the white walled Oriental garden the almost circular entrance barely visible.
Euro: Cut to Duncan walking along the street beside a tall white wall. An almost circular entrance comes into view and he enters. He stops and looks around.

The vast majority of the Eurominutes are made of more and more and more <eg> of Duncan driving around looking for Carl and/or the kid he was with. We get to hear all the verses of that bad song that played during the drive. More shots of homeless people on the street. More shots of Duncan looking at the street. More shots of T-Bird driving past buildings.

Eurominutes: "Epitaph For Tommy"
1) Duncan and Richie, in the loft, discuss Suzanne Honniger - how young, beautiful and rich she is. Duncan goes off to meet her at her house.
US Version: Cut from the loft, to Duncan driving up to the gates of the Honniger estate, then Duncan is at the door.
Euro-version: (No dialog) Cut from loft to Duncan driving down a country road. Trees, sunshine, more driving. He approaches the Honniger's gate, announces himself, and feels another Immortal. Duncan looks around but doesn't see anyone in sight. The gate opens and Duncan drives through. At the same time, a car pulls out of a gate further down the road. It is Gallen. They don't see each other. Back to US version, Duncan at the door.
2) Duncan goes to Tommy's apartment after meeting with the Honnigers
US version: He gets whapped on the head, wakes up, and has a chat with the guys holding him upside down.
Euro-version: Duncan gets whapped on the head. We hear Duncan's stream-of-consciousness dialog with himself. He is thinking about all the people he has failed to save Tommy, Bess, Tessa. He is thinking he could have stopped it all - all these deaths. Tommy was in the wrong place at wrong time. No. Right place. Then he begins to piece together what was really going on with Tommy. Tommy was there for a reason. Right place, what was the reason? Tommy dead, Honniger dead. Suzanne? Tommy knew, it's all connected.
Then he wakes up and scene returns to US version.
Note: this whole 2 1/2 -3 minutes is a jumble of cuts, very "psychedelic". Duncan has "flashbacks" to Bess, Tessa, Richie, Tommy's death, Betty Bannen - and to things he wasn't even present for - like Honniger's car blowing up!

Not exactly I went back over it again. The sequence shown for broadcast is about 1 minute 15 seconds. The Euroversion is much longer - more than twice as long.
