They aired the pilot & ep #2 together several times last week (& I see them scheduled for today, too); ep #3 airs on Wednesday. He is remarkably well-preserved & could easily still swing his Immie role (unlike CL, sadly). Ahem. Actually, CL looks much, much better in current real life than he did as Connor in Endgame. He does not look as good as he did in HL1, I admit, but he looks a lot better than he did in that movie. Many Connor fans believe that CL was deliberately aged in Endgame to make Connor seem tired and weary and to make it more believable that he'd be willing to commit the Immortal version of suicide. Others believe that CL looked fine on the first day of shooting Endgame but looked like death warmed over as the shoot went on and he saw what a stupid, pointless muddle of a movie it was. Wendy(Of course, the apparent physical decline could have been the result of CL's realization that his career had, once and for all time, shriveled up and died.)(AP just hasn't faced that realization about his own career..... yet.)(SK didn't last long enough to even have a career.)(:::::wild evil cackling::::) Fairy Killer jjswbt@earthlink.net http://home.earthlink.net/~jjswbt/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Jul 2002 15:06:50 -0500 From: Bridget Mintz Testa <btesta@houston.rr.com> Subject: Re: The Kurgan wears a suit on Bravo >Nina remarked: >>>He is remarkably well-preserved & could easily still swing his Immie role >>>(unlike CL, sadly). > >Bridget replies: >>Many Connor fans believe that CL was deliberately aged in Endgame to >>make Connor seem tired and weary and to make it more believable that >>he'd be willing to commit the Immortal version of suicide. That's entirely possible, too, of course. ;) Wendy also wrote: (Of course, the apparent physical decline could have been the result of CL's realization that his career had, once and for all time, shriveled up and died.)(AP just hasn't faced that realization about his own career..... yet.)(SK didn't last long enough to even have a career.)(:::::wild evil cackling::::) Not that CL's career has ever been A-1, but he's still making movies ... is in the process of making one with Dennis Hopper entitled "The Piano Player." So I don't think his career is over yet. As for AP and SK, well, I'm not qualified to comment (meaning I have no idea). In interviews , one often hears CL mentions his other professional endeavours. Success in a career should be in light of what the individual in question favours for him/herself after all. He is producer, wine maker, and is constantly seen in business association with big names (big names in itself is an american point of view as what is known elsewhere might be considerate successful yet be totally unknown in that region of North America below my country! ) I just reused a tape that had an interview/promo of Endgame (kept the promo part but reused the rest of the tape) - all part of Endgame seen with Connor had an awful looking CL yet all part of the promo dealing with CL the actor had a very good looking CL! He is often linked in French magazines to other people - while never making the headlines himself or even the focus of an article - he is mentionned for this, for that ...
