Adrian's New Movie (2) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue, 21 Nov 2006 10:02:53 -0500 From: Wendy <Immortals_Incorporated@cox.net> Subject: Adrian's New Movie Ruthlessly stolen from the "Lost Colony" movie site: ********************************** Lost Colony Roanoke Island 1587 Soldiers line the parapet of Fort Raleigh, guns and swords at the ready. Women and children huddle inside the fort's only building, their last remaining safe haven, simply praying to see another dawn. As the men stare out into the night, they finally see their enemy. As the fog billows in from the ocean, three demonic undead witches - wraiths- are flying toward them intend on consuming every last soul on the island. An ancient evil that's been trapped on the island for centuries, the wraiths attack the soldiers on several fronts. The Viking Wraith cuts through the front line with his broadsword, while the Reaper Wraith disembowels men with his scythe. Worse yet, the Witch Wraith commands the forest itself to do her bidding, as she kills soldier after soldier in merciless fashion. Whether or not the English Colonists live to see another morning depends on one man- Ananias Dare - and his ability to decipher the mystery of the wraiths and exploit their only weakness and send them back to Hell. Based on the story of the Lost Colony of Roanoke, this is the story of what really happened to those ill-fated settlers in the new world. **************************** Wow! And all this time I thought they just ran out of food and met some unpleasant Indians. I never guessed they were consumed by ancient evil wraiths. (Is "evil wraith" redundant?) . I'm glad to see the movie will include fog- because what's an AP movie without fog? (And swords.)( And night shoots.) There are some pictures of the cast available. AP looks very good- plastic surgery and hair transplants have improved a lot since 1587 <EG>. No, no.... really...... he looks good. (Regardless of how he got that way.) I can see this movie as a double bill with "Highlander:The Source" on TNT at midnight. Wendy(Do the "lost colonists" end up as wraiths- thus explaining their disappearance??)(Does Ananias save the day against the wraiths only to starve to death afterwards - thus explaining their disappearance??)(Does Ananias just walk away into the fog at the end, leaving everyone else to their fates- thus explaining their disappearance?)(Does the supply ship from England arrive in time and save them- thus rewriting history even more thoroughly than the addition of wraiths does?) I had real hopes for this movie until I read the plot summary and discovered it was just another horror movie. It seems like that is the only kind of movie he is doing these days. Ugh.
