(Are they too big to email?)(We'll work something out) I suspect that between all of us here, we have most of the archives. Maybe we should try to piece them together. We could make it a group project. I just love group projects <EG>. Everyone could look at their hard drives and old disk collections and find what they have. Then we'll (I'll) consolidate and make it all available to whomever wants it. (Me.) I'll start: I have the complete archives starting in June of 1995. Who has something earlier? Janine? Come on, you old pack rat! You know you have this stuff. Wendy(People with 3.5" disks they can no longer read on their machines can just ....um....we'll work something out) Immortals Inc. immortals_incorporated@cox.net "Weasels for Eternity" ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 30 Jul 2006 10:18:30 -0400 From: Wendy <Immortals_Incorporated@cox.net> Subject: Re: moderator issues Two weeks without internet access and I get back to this. If "The Source" proves to be a huge success (both artistically and financially) perhaps we'll attract some new blood. If not, the geezers, the lurkers and the occasional late-comers will just muddle through here. > 3) Bag it and everyone leave for LJ land. Once again <eg> (ME TOO!!!!) I too have tried LJ and found it wanting. It's not LJ's problem, it's mine. I hate the format. And so, here I shall sit. Ah yes, the pesky wee creatures are a bother :) Thank God one of our friends had warned us and we went prepared with anti midge spray on our visit and I could tell it really worked. ________________________________________________________________________ Check out AOL.com today. If the weather stays clear tomorrow, I'd really suggest The Camera Obscura, which is up next to the Castle. On a day like today you should be able to see all the way across to Fife and down to the Borders. You climb up to the top of an old (very old) building and sit inside a darkened room. A periscope projects a live, real time, view onto a circular table in the centre of the room with amazing clarity. You could also explore Calton Hill and see the views of the city from there. If you enjoyed the Castle, you'll enjoy Holyrood Palace. Holyrood Park (next to the palace) is a small expanse of tranquil countryside in the heart of the city, with its own bonsai mountains. Take a wander up the road known as "The Queen's Drive" (the queen in question was Victoria) and see the views of the city from there http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfette/162425952/ There's also a spectacular sculpture exhibition on in the park just now, with about 20 or so stone carvings like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfette/158693194/ Jette Goldie jette@blueyonder.co.uk http://www.jette.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/ ("reply to" is spamblocked) ------------------------------ End of HIGHLA-L Digest - 29 Jul 2006 to 30 Jul 2006 (#2006-118) ***************************************************************
