      Hey everyone.

      1. I'm here until the lights go out. I don't think starting a new list
to talk about nothing much is worth the effort, not to mention the
arrrgh! factor for whoever elects her or himself List Deity. This may
well have something to do with Debbie's absence, actually. Seriously, is
it any fun for her to hang around the likes of us? No, Socrates, it is
not, unless we're a ton more interesting and able to come up with topics
worth kicking around. Starting a mailing list or other moderated
community discussion forum is no big deal. MODERATING it is another
thing entirely. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, but good luck to
anybody that thinks they can handle the duties with fairness, clarity,
      and a certain sang-froid.

      2. Here's something none of you have ever seen, and it features a very
familiar looking little silk bouncy-bouncy sword powdering bag on a
stick, and possibly CLOVE OIL is being deployed as well. At last, we
may have confirmation of an age-old question: if Duncan were shot at and
he were very good or very lucky, would he be able to dodge the bullet
with skill and the dragon-head katana alone?

Video can take a long time to load unless you have broadband. It seems
to be taken from a much longer segment of a Japanese game show similar
to Mythbusters. The longer version, which is in Japanese with Japanese
subtitles (except for the American guy at the LA Gun Club for the
denouement). The longer version can be found at YouTube.com

      >From what I remember of the list-serv setup from long ago, its made up of
a lot of protocols from a long time ago. New technology is grafted onto
the old, but the 'human' rules tend to remain the same. Yahoo is similar,
the owner of a list is the emporor. hey may opt to allow subscribers the
illusion of a democracy, and set up moderators and/or co-owners, but they
can still trump them. It's rare for a list to be deleted or an owner
      booted.

The Highlander Store used to give a 10% discount to HL Club members. Is
this still done? Ok, probably not, but worth asking.
