I looked up the site where those lists are maintained, and sent a message to the list maintenance help email address to ask if the moderator can be changed if that moderator has evidently abandoned the list. Do we have any volunteers to be moderator? I would think the listserver would be able to change to a different moderator, if they knew who to change to. There's also the chance that if they find out no one is overseeing the list anymore, they may just take it down. Didn't there used to be a Forever Knight list also on lists.psu.edu? Maybe whoever runs that will have an idea how lists are handled there. Given the overlap of HL and FK fandom, my guess is there are probably people here who are on both lists and maybe one (rather then all of them) could ask that list owner if they know anything. (some places will only let a list exist if whoever is running it knows or has some connection to whoever is running the machine.) =}{= (heidi@bronze.lcs.mit.edu) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Jul 2006 16:13:28 EDT From: Evelyn Duncan <BrandyKitt@aol.com> Subject: Re: Special Alert July 5, 2006/Jess Ragaza: ... Crassus: Of course not. It is all a matter of taste, isn't it? Antoninus: Yes, master. Crassus: And taste is not the same as appetite, and therefore not a question of morals. Antoninus: It could be argued so, master. Crassus: My robe, Antoninus. My taste includes . . . both snails and oysters. In my email to them (which may never get an answer for all I know), I said the list members wanted the list to continue, but wanted to change the moderator, who had abandoned her post and was unreachable. Doing nothing at this point sure as heck isn't working, and it has now become a spam magnet.
