Anway, there was Alexis Denisof, "Wesley" from Buffy & Angel, in "Diplomatic Immunity". <g> It's been so long since I watched season sux - I never knew AD played on HL. He's also in "Sharpe" with Sean Bean - but not a very sympathetic character Hmm never heard of that one. I sometimes will pull out DI just to watch him again although the ep itself isn't really good. When I first saw it, I don't think I'd have known him if i hadn't seen his name in the credits. And that was after I started watching Angel lol. Mel (Indescretions is the only other ep I'll watch sometimes from S6) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Stu says what's a really familiar quote to an HL fan..."I saw a pale horse with a pale rider...and the horse's name was pestilence and the rider's name was Death" At least I think that's it, it was hard to hear it all. Also the segment itself was "pale horse, pale rider"...and I actually read this book the first time because of a Stand/HL crossover RPG lol. Actually it has me curious. I thought Pestilence was another of the Horsemen, didn't know the horses had names. Mel,who knows Methos is Death and thinks Silas is War...is it Caspian-Famine and Kronos-Pestilence?) __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I thought Pestilence was another > of the Horsemen, didn't know the horses had names. >From the King James Bible: # Rev. 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. **** The white horse is generally considered to be the Antichrist - except by those who see it as a reference to the invading armies of Parthia who rode white horses...which makes it "war" ***** #Rev. 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. *****The red horse is commonly believed to represent "war" (except by those who like white for war) because of the sword and the red for blood. OTOH, some think "red" stands for pestilence (Remember the Masque of the Red Death?) ***** #Rev. 6:5/6 And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. # And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. ****Black is for famine because of the scale and the mention of wheat/barley and money. ***** # Rev. 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. ***This is the only one with a name. The Rider's name is Death...the horse is still unnamed. It's assumed that the "pale" horse indicated a sickly animal and that meant pestilence - which would probably mean that RED didn't mean pestilence because...hey...why repeat yourself? **** So, what you have are the Antichrist, War, Famine and Death-by-Pestilence. A nice bunch....if one believes. Wendy(Hey DEBBIE!!)(We're discussing religion now!!)(Come stop us!!!!) You could toss in Bush & Iraq, Intelligent Design, stem cell research, the Nip/Tuck finale, & Tom Cruise, & it would all still be less unnerving than speculating about Highlander: The Source. Wendy(Hey DEBBIE!!)(We're discussing religion now!!)(Come stop us!!!!) ---------- What I believe is that Methos gave himself away when he said, "I was Death...Death on a horse." We never saw him on a horse in modern times (though I imagine his road rage is terrible to behold) and on foot, he was Just-A-Guy. Leading me to also believe that Silas (War, if we go with Mel's definitions) became known as Like-Me-Or-Lick-Me, Caspian (Famine) was Mr.-Emo, and Kronos (Pestilence) was the dreaded BDSM-Boy. And they moved from the Apocalypse to Calypso (Caspian in particular was said to be a virtuoso steel pan drummer). ....Greg.... gmate@rogers.com "IRC is just multiplayer notepad." - bash.org ------------------------------ End of HIGHLA-L Digest - 19 Jan 2006 to 20 Jan 2006 (#2006-11) **************************************************************
