That was one of my favorites! There are aliens living in Paris. They are under the control of the Immortal Nostromo. He is using the aliens to capture other Immortals, whom he then uses as incubators for more aliens (because the Immortals can survive the "birth" of the little alien when it bursts out of their chests.)(That healing ability can be a bitch) Nostromo plans to breed an army of aliens which he will eventually use to kill all the other Immortals and set himself up as ultimate ruler of the world. Duncan hears about these nasty buggers who bleed acid and are plucking hapless Immortals off the streets, leaving gaping holes in the sidewalks and bloody shreds of by-standers everywhere. Duncan tracks the aliens to a cave under Paris. The cave may or may not be holy ground (depending on your view of what constitutes HG.) The aliens are clearly worshiping something at their makeshift altar- it looks like a bobblehead of Joss Wheadon. (Who are we to say their religion isn't valid?) Duncan is forced to fight the aliens one by one in a narrow tunnel. He is victorious when he discovers that his oilskin trenchcoat is acid repellent and his katana will slice through alien flesh like, well, a katana through alien flesh. Having defeated the aliens, Duncan goes after Nostromo. Cornered on the roof of the Louvre, Mac discovers that Nostromo can fly (because, why not?) The last we see of our villain is him wafting over the spire of Notre Dame. Duncan know he will have to face Nostromo again someday but until then, Paris is safe once more. He returns to the cave to free the imprisoned Immortals, only to find them all missing. All he finds are empty chains and a used syringe that contains a tiny residue of funky blue liquid. Now that I've refreshed your memory, I'm sure you remember this. You forgot to mention the part where Nostromo kidnaps Richie and takes him underground and implants him with an alien. We get close-up shots of poor Richie in agony as the alien bursts out of his chest. I was glad that TPTB chose an Immortal with whom we could empathize to show just how painful it can be having a creature burst from your chest like that. Also, Nostromo assumed that because Richie was young he was harmless and didn't secure him properly, so Richie actually escaped and told Duncan where the bad guy was! That was an important plot development that you left out! >(Oops!)(I just spoiled the plot for the mini-series<EFG>) Heh. Now we just need a Methos fan to tell us what Methos was doing > at the time and we'll have ourselves a par-tay. :) Methos only had a small bit of exposition where the viewers found out that, several thousand years ago on his journey from the planet Zeist with the rest of the Four Horsemen, he brought an Alien egg along the way and brought it to earth. So it was actually Methos' fault that the whole Alien race started breeding. After his sordid past with Cassandra and the Horsemen came out, he was too afraid to also admit this last little bit, which is why it was never mentioned in the other episodes. (Alien eggs were actually considered a delicacy on Zeist, and Methos planned to start an Alien Egg Farm with Silas, but was too distracted by liking him or licking him or whatever, so he misplaced the egg and, well, the rest is history). ....Greg.... gmate@rogers.com 1 ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 May 2004 13:45:36 -0400 From: Bizarro7@aol.com Subject: Re: Highlander TV Movies Oooh, I can play this marketing game. I just got a call from the Highlander Store, and the telemarketer informed me that Donald MacLeod would be returning for the made-for-TV HIGHLANDER return movie, "Twinkies at Twilight." Ah, and we have Amanda to thank for Nostromo getting his hands on the egg. She saw it in a rich merchant's house in France in the 1700s, 'appropriated' it and sold it to a collector who thought he was buying a rare delicacy. She skipped out on him before he figured out that trying to cut the egg open actually released acid and made holes in things... taking his gemstone collection with her, of course. She forgot about the egg altogether, until Duncan needed her help to break the new security system the municipality of Paris have put on the underground tunnels to keep those pesky Immortals from running around down there... - Marina. \\ "Good girls go to heaven. ||>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> // // Bad girls go to Smallville." || R I C H I E >> \\ \\ - 'Sorority Boys' wallpaper ||>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> // //=======tmar@sifl.iid.co.za========|| \\ \\=======Chief Flag Waver and Defender of Richie=======// "What about the fact they thought we were gay?"
