I think the Glenfinnan connection was set up by Greg Widen when he original
came up with the idea. The original movie did shoot on Skye so filming
around the real MacLeod lands would be no problem.
Tioram only came in play with the third movie, and then was used again for
Homeland. Bear in mind that Tioram is not on Loch Sheil.
