Two vinyl albums, now transposed onto one CD "Burning/Turned my Nights into Days". One CD album "That River" One limited edition CD "Love is a Gamble". (200 copies pressed, all individually numbered and signed - mine is #7 <g>). I hear that he's going into the studio to redo this one for general release. Even after all this time, it's still possible to have a "YKYBWHLTMW" moment. A few weeks back, we were watching some SG-1 reruns (love that TiVo) and had one. It was set on a strange planet that was very, very yellow, with aliens that were living cobalt blue crystals stuck in the bright yellow "dunes."

Yep, it was the sulphur mine from "Band of Brothers," where Duncan fought Grayson (and that was in the opening credits). It's often possible to spot old Highlander locations if SG-1 happens to film somewhere in urban Vancouver, rather in some generic place meant to represent yet another tree-filled planet.

Then last night, I was watching my current obsession, er, favorite TV show, "The Amazing Race." They went to Le Mans, France, where there is a 24 hour racetrack, and there was a very familiar "Dunlop" sign forming an archway over the track. I think it was the place Richie died in front of an inconveniently large number of witnesses, when he was with Saracen Racing.
--
Ginny
RED57@aol.com
Fresh out of .sig lines ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Jun 2003 21:43:22 -0400 From: Rebecca Wallace <becky717@earthlink.net> Subject: Re: HL location spotting in other shows and movies Has anyone been watching "The Real World-Paris" this season? I have been trying to see familiar sites (besides the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame), but they tend to show "scenery" too fast, and they haven't ventured out much (at least on film) except to bars. Also, semi-related, flipping the channels today and stopped on MTV just to see what "Taildaters" was all about, and one initial meeting took place in the lobby of the Westin Hotel where Reunion con was held! (This was cool to see, just like going to try out for Jeopardy in D.C., which were held at the Omni Shoreham, where Legacy con was).
