Yes. But, this time I'll buy popcorn to hurl at the screen; if, against all odds, I end up happily eating it during a good flick, I'll just hit the gym a couple extra times. > Are we idiots or just hopeful? :) In this case, there's no meaningful difference. There's always the off chance we might like it (they *do* get it very right every now and then; otherwise there would be no list to post this to). You might save an $8.00 movie ticket, but you can do that by avoiding Adam Sandler movies, too. I will see it. I will judge it independently. But I have zero expectation of a Dimension film. And if it *IS* awesome, amazing and re-energizes the franchise I may only become more bitter. I would rather see a bad Highlander movie than nothing at all. Sure we can all say we would have done a better job with Endgame ,or the other movies for that matter(except the original!), but why not wait and see what happens before we condemn every new effort that comes out. Being so close minded like that brings nothing positive to this list. Just my opinion. I'll go back to lurking! :) Chris ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Apr 2003 16:51:18 -0400 From: Ace!Miracle <ke731458@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu> Subject: Re: more bad news on HL5 On Wed, 9 Apr 2003, Marina Bailey wrote: > >Nina (truly terrible times we live in) > > Yeah, but ten to one all of us will still go and watch it. > > Are we idiots or just hopeful? :) Hope springs eternal, like a slinky going down the up escalator. I don't think we're idiots. Okay, I'm not. ;) Seriously, though, the *idea* behind HL4 wasn't terrible. It could have been worse (cf. HL2, the Sickening.) It's just that the execution didn't really work, for the most part. --Miracle ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Tell it like it is, 'til there's no misunderstanding. Hey, if somebody tries to entertain me right now, I'll take whatever escapism I can get. Sitting on our lanai and bitching and moaning before the fact isn't going to improve anything. Sure, the next movie could stink like Stilton. But at least we have something to look forward to besides a born-again, dry-drunk armageddon. Yes, you're right Heidi. And they are going in order - all the ep titles are here, along with a couple other things of AP's that are on this month. Too bad for tapers if they do have a black ad bar at the bottom all the time. I don't think I've ever watched this channel, but will certainly check it out since they have the good taste to rerun HL. :) Rachel http://tvlistings2.zap2it.com/search_party.asp?party_id=143756&partner_id=national These are Pacific (N.
