Wonder what happened there, as I have seen tons of commercials for Tremors.>> And every time I have to endure another round of "She likes her shorts, short; He likes his gun, loaded..." I've been thinking, "Oh God, is there any way to get a show cancelled *before* it even starts?" Maybe my prayers have been answered. Of course, it would be infinitely better if it were Highlander instead of Tracker (so, so, ***so*** much better *sigh*), but still, that's some kind of fannish lineup they've got going there.>> Indeed, it's quite a fannish lineup. But throughout my viewing of "Taken", where SciFi is going whole hog in promoting itself, I've had feelings of deja vu from the first seasons of Highlander when my local channel chose to run ads for phone sex numbers, Army recruiting, beer, etc. I mean, the fire-breathing little boy and the big-eyed, bug-child are cute, but what's up with the fetal naked woman and the lesbian smoke partner? Once again, I feel as though the station execs are ignorant of their demographics. Or maybe the "Taken" demographic numbers are just now coming in and they're realizing that a larger share of their viewers don't give a hoot how short a woman's shorts are. There's even a new version of the Tremors ad this week that's less obnoxious.
