The whole thing was icky--Mary was a far creepier character than Byron, & I can't fathom 2 people LESS likely to rev up one's engines. Now, the goat looked pleasant enough. >...and then there was the goat... >Interestingly, I suspect that the Methos of 3,000 years earlier, >could have taught Byron a thing or two about the subject. Wendy-- >Nina: >Which for some reason reminds me of Raven & SOMEONE who WAS posting the >euro bits??? >>>Ouch. That hurts <eg> Sorry. But, since you've confessed to Scottish ancestry, that makes it nearly certain you're an Immie--so you'll heal. And I'm SURE you're planning to bite the bullet & dish out the Paris eps of Raven any... year... now. >Wendy(Finally watched "The Void".)(Wasn't as awful as most AP movies)(Not that that is saying much.)(Was basically a >90 minute SG1 episode without RDA)(Laughed at the katanas in the background of Malcom's office.) It fell apart near the end. And had too much girlie (well, girlieS, if you count AT's body double) & not enough AP. Re katanas, how in hell did they (whoever....) name the baddie in HL2 "General Katana"? I mean--even in the context of HL2, how stupid IS that??? Nina (still, not as stupid as Sci Fi canning Farscape....) mac.westie@verizon.net ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 11 Sep 2002 15:14:15 +0200 From: Marina Bailey <tmar@sifl.iid.co.za> Subject: Re: (OT) Another one bites the dust..... As you say: >Of course those of us who are still hanging out here are still united in >our *love of the show* and not just one specific character. Exactly. And whether we like each other or not (I don't dislike anybody here, no matter how much I argue with them), we do have that underlying community. >Lots of folks here wouldn't spit on me if I were on fire, but there's >still an undeniable commonality. Yes. Yes. (I'm agreeing with Nina. Help me.) Not about the spitting part, but the commonality part. I think all of us would rally around if another listee was on fire, even if we were insulting each other months before. At least, I like to think so. To be honest I know very very few dour Scots and I don't think Jette or I qualify as dour either. What I meant was that there is a perception of that and perhaps that is what seemed cold about Anne. Though I do think the not being touchy feely etc may well be genentic. It's quite an interesting idea - learned behaviour or genetic behaviour. I think we are all made up of a mix of both.
