I take great pleasure in reporting this!! :) According to the PWFC page http://www.pwfc.org/news.shtml , Peter has been cast in X-Men 2! He's going to be playing (as quoted by Peter) "the bad guy's henchman." I this the "bad guy" in question is Magneto, but I'm not sure. It doesn't say who he's going to be playing, but if anyone knows, or anyone wants to guess, I'm curious to see. :) As far as I know, there aren't an English members of the Brotherhood. I'm hoping that Singer will bring in my favorite English Mutant Pete Wisdom, but that's a pipe dream, I think. I'm keeping my fingers cross, though. :-D This is a convergence of fandoms for me. I absolutely love X-Men, and I absolutely love Highlander. I am a very very very happy fangirl. If this story follows the events of God Loves, Man Kills (the X-Men graphic novel which is said to have acted as an inspiration - it's superb reading for anyone who can find it!) then Stryker is a militant evangelist with followers who kill mutants because they believe such 'creatures' are abhorent to God. Therefore Peter's character (and Kelly Hu's counterpart) is/are unlikely to have any mutant powers. Magneto does feature in the film, but it looks likely that he won't be so much the villain, as a third counterpoint to the different factions involved in the race hate-mongering. Either way, if the film is half as good as the source material, it'll be great. I heard that Kelly Hu is going to be playing Lady Deathstrike. *is going to check that information again* Not a Mutant, but a very freaky lady the same. I've read the graphic novel and it's one of the stories that I list as my favorite X-Men stories. It's really incredible. Funny thing, though, there's a scene in the graphic novel, between Kitty and Magneto, that closely resembles the scene between Ororo and Logan in the first movie where Logan is asking Ororo if she's on the right side. > Magneto does feature in the film, but it looks likely that he won't be so > much the villain, as a third counterpoint to the different factions involved > in the race hate-mongering.
