Maybe. But I do know that Gillian Horvath said she gulped when she S

heard Methos utter that line about Holy Ground because the original idea
was NOT holyground but a fake monastery with fake monks who were
      trustworthy and good watchers.>>
Yes. I heard this too. But even if they filmed it that way, it wouldn't
work for me. It would take away the HG problem, but it wouldn't explain
why an immie would allow himself to be put into suspended animation like
that. Even though these are "good watchers", what's to stop a kimmie
from coming along, killing all the watchers, and then killing all the
comatose immies? Or what would stop a "bad watcher" from doing the same
      thing?
      It just doesn't work.

I agree that either way does not work. It was a bad idea to begin
with. Not to mention the fact that immortals aren't even supposed to
know about the watchers let alone trust them with their lives over many
years.Even if the immies were on holy ground and holy ground meant what
I continue to believe it did, a renegade watcher (of which there were
quite a few on the series) could have killed them all with no problem
like Darius in the church. And if it wasn't holy ground, same senario but
add any stray kimmie happening by also. Holy ground or not, it simply
does NOT work. I expected something better from Gillian.

In fairness to her, my understanding [which could be flawed] is that she was
called in to rewrite a script whose storyline was already in progress [BP's]
. In the leaked script there were classic Gillian -stamped-all-over- them-
lines, one gem for Methos and the final line of the final scene itself, both
of which never made it to the filming. Sigh.

I do want to be fair to her ( I respect Gillian a lot) and I really
don't know the inside story on all this. My understanding was that
Gillian & Bill P. did the storyline and another dude did the
script.(with all around mostly atrocious dialogue in my opinion)Whatever
the truth is, IMO again, somebody goofed big time.

So true. And it really doesn't matter who wrote what or when or who fixed
somebody else's work, etc. Behind-the-scenes info is fascinating, but
doesn't really help this discussion. Methos said "holy ground". Immies
were killed at the sanctuary. It doesn't matter who wrote it (or if it was
ever written that way at all) or who was surprised by it, because the
discussion is about the film as it was released; and those immies were
      killed on Holy Ground.

So.... for the sake of discussion, is it possible to come up with a type of
sanctuary that would work? What kind of place could have been used that we
could have believed Connor would have gone to voluntarily to get away *and*
Kell would have been able to come in and kill everybody?
