One thing it is good for is getting photos and stuff on Scottish actors, they seem to have a love affair with Ewan McGregor and print photos of him whenever they get the chance, but I'm not complaining about that. Heavens they have even started to do articles about David Coulthard and him not a footballer.<EG> Elaine. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2001 15:24:53 EDT From: EllnT@aol.com Subject: Re: Time IS up for Lance Professor Picky is at it again... saying we don't want plural time for Lance...we want one "time" that is definitely up! Huh? You mean we be reading books? Meaning books with no pictures? Highlander Fan Fic? Outlander outlandish? You mean there is more to this world than reality TV and Remote repeats of same ol' same ol' sitcoms and so called act-adventure? Oh Darn I get a headach just thinking about it! Literate? We follow a series of movies and two TV shows. How does that make us literate? Highlander fans come from all walks of life and all levels of education. And a percentage of HIGHLA-L members live in countries other than the USA and for many of them English is a second language (or third or fourth) and they deserve your understanding if their knowledge and skill in English is not equal to yours. So I encourage everyone here to look to the message in each post on this list and not at the 'trappings' - misspellings, grammar, or sentence structure. I wouldn't want people afraid to share in our discussions because they were afraid the grammar or spelling police will be after them. -Debbie List owner -- .------------------------------------------------------------------. |Debra Douglass ddoug@catrio.org http://www.catrio.org| `------------------------------------------------------------------' ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 27 Apr 2001 12:30:30 -1000 From: Geiger <geiger@maui.net> Subject: Re: Highlander merchandise Judy-- > I was _really_ bored, so I went over to eBay. There's lots of stuff, all right--apparently HL Store dumped oldish inventory. I'd much rather bid & then deal w/ Closeout Store than hassle w/ HL Store. There are season tape sets, LOTS of swords, other catalog stuff. Plus, of course, the usual stuff being auctioned by individuals. Just go to http://pages.ebay.com/index.html & search for Highlander. Oh--is there a way to do a search that excludes all the swords? (No more sharps allowed--its a parole thing, you know how pesky THAT can be.)
